Jim Medley
Senior Pastor
Bro. Jim and his wife, Lana, came to FBC Lamesa in April of 2014 as Senior Pastor. Jim graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1982 and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985. He is also a Certified Grief Counselor. He is currently a Chaplain with the Texas Crisis Resiliency Team and a Chaplain with the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Unit. He was also a volunteer Hospice Chaplain with Hansford Hospice of Spearman, Texas. He has served churches in Midland, Ft. Worth, Silsbee, Pecos, Rankin, and Spearman, Texas during his almost 37 years of ministry. He and Lana have two adult children, Matt and Sarah. Matt and his family live in Midland, Texas and Sarah lives in Plainview, Texas. They are also the grandparents of Grace, Nicholas, and Jordyn. Jim is an avid fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers and he enjoys playing golf, watching sporting events, and reading.

John Bocko
Youth and Worship Pastor
John came to Lamesa January 1st of 2015. He and his wife Ashley were married at the end of 2015, and are both now residing in Lamesa. John graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Christian Ministry. John is a fan of the Oakland Athletics and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoys fishing, camping, reading, watching movies and tv, and playing video games.

Wayne Smith
Special Assistant to the Pastor
Wayne Smith is a native of Dawson County and has been a member of First Baptist –Lamesa for sixty-seven years. He is a graduate of Lamesa High School (1952) and holds degrees from Baylor University (B.A. English and Religion, 1956); Texas Tech (M.A. English, 1967); Texas Tech (Ed.D. Administration of Higher Education, 1990). He taught and was an administrator in the Lamesa I.S.D. and taught and served as Campus Director for the Lamesa Campus of Howard College before becoming Executive Vice-President of the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce. After serving in that capacity for ten years, he retired to serve in the position of Minister of Education and then moved to his current position in May of 2014.
He and his wife, Connie, also a native of Dawson County and also a Baylor graduate, have two daughters, Kim and Jennifer, both graduates of Hardin-Simmons University. Jennifer is married to Brady Pyle and they have three children Katy (13), Cody (10), and Tanner (7). The Pyles live in Clear Lake, Texas, where Brady works for NASA.
